We collect and process the following types of personal data:

• Contact details: Name, email address, phone number provided via the enquiry form or email.
• Travel details: Preferred travel dates, group size, interests and preferences submitted through the enquiry form.
• Guestbook entries: Name, email address, travel date and comment submitted via the guestbook form.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system and usage behaviour, only if you have consented (analytics cookies).

Processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 GDPR:

• Para. 1 lit. a (Consent): When you submit data via a form or accept cookies.
• Para. 1 lit. b (Contract performance): To process your safari enquiry and travel planning.
• Para. 1 lit. f (Legitimate interest): To improve our website and ensure functionality.

The data is used to respond to your enquiry, plan your trip, review and publish guestbook entries, and improve the website.

This website uses cookies in three categories:

When you fill out the enquiry form, guestbook form or any other contact form, your data is transmitted via a secure connection to our CRM system. It is stored there exclusively for processing your enquiry.

Guestbook entries are reviewed by SafariUganda before publication. A comment only appears publicly in the guestbook after approval.

We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by legal retention periods.

• Enquiry data is retained until the travel planning is complete and potentially beyond for follow-up questions.
• Guestbook entries are published permanently after approval but can be deleted on request.
• Cookie consent preferences are stored for 1 year and then automatically reset.

Your data is only shared with third parties if this is necessary for travel planning (e.g. lodges, transport providers or permit authorities) and you have consented, or if there is a legal obligation.

For flight bookings, we cooperate with Reisebüro Überwald (Germany). In this case, only the data necessary for the flight booking is shared.

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
